Do accompanying family members need their own permissions?
Short answer
Yes. Each family member holds their own visa and permission to stay and, where applicable, their own reporting obligations. Dependants generally cannot work on a dependant status without separate authorisation.
Extension dates for family members often drift apart after separate trips abroad. Keeping a shared calendar of every family member's permitted-until date prevents an overstay by inattention.
