What is required for a company's registered address?
Short answer
The registered address must be a real, identifiable location supported by consent from the property owner together with proof of ownership or the lease. Some offices and some licences also require photographs or a site inspection.
Virtual addresses that cannot support an inspection cause problems later, particularly for VAT registration and work permit applications.
If the company moves, register the change promptly — an address mismatch between the affidavit and the workplace on a work permit is a common inspection finding.
